Sam Fairchild
Achivements:Sam has been swimming with the club since 2004, starting off in the Friday club night lessons and then progressing through the squad training system. While being a part of the club he has competed in numerous meets and has gained a large collection of awards and personnel bests especially in Backstroke. One of his greatest achievements was being picked for the 2010 international children’s games in Bahrain and also the 2011 games in Scotland. Sam currently trains with the SP1 squad and still competes on a regular basis. Sam have gained several qualifications so far in the field of swimming these include :- ASA Level One and Two Award’s in Teaching Aquatics , ASA Level One Award in Coaching Swimming, ASA Young Organiser award, British Swimming Time Keeper Award, National Rescue award for swimming teachers and coaches.
Other:He is currently at City College Coventry studying a Level 3 Btec Extended Diploma in Sport. On Friday night’s as well as coaching Red achievers he still volunteers for the club by teaching the Level one swimmer’s. Sam started volunteering on a Friday club night when he was fourteen and has found it very rewarding.
