Update 15th August 2021
From the
15th August 2021, we have been
following government policy, therefore we will be advising our members of any new positive cases, however it
will be up to the individuals to take the necessary actions and maybe undertake lateral flow tests more often.
We’d also like to point out that from the 15th August, should anyone need to go into isolation, then there will be no
concessions on the membership training fees.
COCSC Trustees Update – 4th June 2020
You may have seen in the news recently a potential date of when swimming pools may be opening (4th July) and how swimmers may be able to swim in them when they are opened. The Club Trustees are regularly meeting with the Senior Staff and discussing how we could potentially re-open once the various pools re-open but want to wait until we have the full Swim England guidance & details from the pools we use before we can advise how the Club will operate on re-opening.
The Trustees wanted to contact you today to let you know that we
are in conversations with the various pool operators that we use and await the Swim England guidelines to be
released on June 15th. There is then a Trustees meeting planned for June 16th and then a further announcement
will be released from the Trustees/Senior Staff after this.
Club Statement (11th May 2020)
After much thought it has been decided to cancel the Graham Sykes Meet
(11-12th July 2020). We are disappointed to make this decision but under the current situation and the latest
announcements from the Government it is the right one to be making. Any entry fees received will be refunded
in full. You will be contacted soone for payments to be arranged. We thank you for your support and
understanding in this matter and we hope to see you all as soon as we can at one of our future meets - we are
desperate for you all to compete in our new pool - we will just need to wait a little longer!
Club Statement (March 19th 2020)
After a meeting on Wednesday 18th March of the clubs Trustees and senior staff, the decision was taken to
cancel training for all groups effective immediately. This
decision was not taken lightly but it was felt in the current climate it was the right decision to make. The club will continue to closely monitor the situation and review
things on a weekly basis. We are hoping to be back swimming as
soon as possible, but the welfare and safety of our members and staff is obviously paramount.
If we could ask that you dont cancel your direct debits at this time
we would be very grateful, as the club treasurer will be in touch with you over the next couple of days with
information around monthly training fees.
The clubs full-time staff will continue to work from home so if there
are questions, queries or any other enquiries please dont hesitate to contact any of us:
Adam Ruckwood - Head Coach adam.ruckwood@coventry-swimming.org.uk
Jo Deakins - Club Programme Manager joanne.deakins@coventry-swimming.org.uk
Paul Wilson - Assistant Head Coach paul.wilson@coventry-swimming.org.uk
Jess Jelley - Swimming Coordinator and Assistant Coach jessica.jelley@coventry-swimming.org.uk
Can we wish you all the very best during this difficult period.
Kind regards
Trustees
and Senior Staff
