Swimmers Bags on Poolside by Adam Ruckwood on 3/2/2012 @ 13:44
As some of you will be aware there has been a couple of thefts of swimmers bags off poolside over the last two
weeks at Coventry Sports Centre.

Could we remind swimmers and parents that bags are the swimmers responsibility and our advice is that bags
are left safely in the changing room lockers, or well away from the doors/exits if left on poolside.

Sean Asher by Adam Ruckwood on 23/1/2012 @ 14:43
City of Coventry Swimming Club would like to thank Sean Asher for his dedication to the club after his
decision to hang up his trunks and retire from competitive swimming.

Sean has been a member of City of Coventry since he was 8 years old and has worked his way right through the
squads. He has been a great member, always turning out for the club and being a tough competitor when he
raced. He has also been very successful along the way, making numerous National Finals and winning medals at
Regional Championships.

Sean will be continuing his association with the club through his work as a member of the coaching staff and
his work with Senior Performance 1. Everyone from the club would like to wish Sean all the best and that he
enjoys his retirement.
West Midlands Arena League Results by Adam Ruckwood on 3/1/2012 @ 13:39
Very sorry for the delay in announcing the results but there was a mix-up with the final Division 1 standings
and no-one was quite sure about the final outcome.

The A team had a strong final round but narrowly missed out on winning the West Midlands league to a very
tough City of Derby team who came out on top by just 6 points. City of Coventry will now go through to the
National B Final in Sheffield in late April to represent the West Midlands.

The B team performed well and fought hard but finished in 6th place in the final round and are relegated to
the 2nd division for next season. We all look forward to them bouncing back at the first attempt next
season.

Very well done to all the swimmers, coaches and team staff involved with our teams.
New parent/General Info & Competitions Info meetings by Jo Deakins on 9/12/2011 @ 17:29
In the new year we have two parent information meetings planned to help members understand certain areas of
the club and the sport in more detail.

We will be holding a General Club Information meeting on Friday 13th January which is aimed for new parents
that have swimmers just join the club or for some of our exisitng parents who wish to learn more about what we
do etc.

The second meeting is planned for the week after on the 20th January and this is to highlight the competition
structure within our sport and how we tailor things within the club.

Both will start at 6.00pm and will last an hour and will be held in the Spire Suite 1 which is on the 4th
floor on the dry side of the Sports Centre (across the bridge after going past the pool).

Any queries please let me know.
